What is the price of your homes on a cost per square foot basis?

Our homes are uniquely designed for our clients and their particular building site. We custom design our homes to maximize efficiency in construction and to value engineer the home to meet our client’s budget. Square foot price is determined by the type of house our client’s want, the design and the finish out of the home. A general range that we see our clients building in is $180 to $270 per square foot. This range is for the home only and does not include land or site improvements.


What kind of time frame should we expect for designing and building a home?

Once we begin the process, it will take 2-3 weeks to produce a preliminary design and after we have received your feedback we will need another 60 days to produce working drawings. You should plan on approximately 4 months from the initial design interview to contract proposal. The construction time is dependent on the size of the home, the nature of the site and of course, weather. Typically we are seeing a 4,000 to 4,500 square foot home take 6-8 months for construction.


How many houses do you build a year?

We have an experienced team that builds between 10 – 15 homes a year. This gives us enough volume that we get preferred pricing from our sub contractors and vendors but keeps us small enough that we can focus on each of our clients.


What style of homes do you design and build?

We have excellent designers that have studied the best homes from around the world and understand the details that make a home truly unique. It’s the attention to details that sets us apart, whether you want Mediterranean, Southern Living, Old World, or Hill Country we will capture your vision and make it a reality. Our design philosophy is to design our homes to meet the needs and tastes of our clients. We are best known for our Hill Country designs but we design any style our clients want.


Can you help arrange financing?

We have established relationships with companies that do construction lending well and without delays. The companies that we work with are efficient, timely, competitive and competent in handling your loan and have a variety of loan options to suit your needs.


Where do you build?

We build in subdivisions and privately owned ranches throughout Kendall County. The subdivisions we have most recently built in are Cordillera Ranch, Diamond Ridge, The Reserve, Tapatio Springs, Fair Oaks Ranch, Village Oaks and on other smaller developments.

Our designers are some of the best in the industry; their ability to listen and understand our client’s desired living environments combined with their knowledge of architecture and mastery of details yields homes of the highest quality and functionality. Our attention to detail and client focus continues through the construction process and beyond, creating not only a one-of-a kind home but an enjoyable and distinct experience.


How do you deal with out of town clients?

We have built homes for several out of town clients. Thorough communication is essential to a successful relationship with our clients, and we are able to stay in contact throughout the entire process with the use of technology. We use a web based software program that allows us to share information (pictures, drawings, sketches, etc.) with our clients. They can see the progress of their home, make decisions and exchange information through the web. We recently completed an 8,000+ square foot home for a client living in London who was only available to meet in person a total of 4 times during design and construction. We were able to maintain effective communications and complete their home with the quality and care they expected, on time and on budget.
